***Our Kids Club Holiday programs are coming up! Please see the this webpage for more details and to register***
Kingdom Kids is our Sunday morning ministry to children 2.5 years-old to Year 6 at Crossroads Christian Church. Classes are allocated according to age for the younger years (Transition Creche 2.5 years-old to preschool-age and a Preschool class for those roughly 4-5 years old) and school Year (K-1, 2-3, 4-5 and 6). Kids and families meets together in the Mirici College auditorium at 9:30 for the first part of the general service and a Kid’s Spot then the children break into their classes for the rest of the morning service.
A Crossfire program for youth in Years 7-12 is run at the same time as the Kingdom Kids program.
Children under 2 ∏ years-old are catered for in a crèche which also run during the service for those kids who can sit up by themselves until Transition Crèche age.
A
Registration Form needs to be completed for all children and youth participating in our programs in order for us to know who is in our classes, ensure we are catering to the needs of the ages we have and be aware of health or other issues that need to be considered.
KKs Values...
- Being a safe place for our children.
- Modelling a real real relationship with Jesus to our children.
- Teaching the Bible in a creative way that is application-oriented.
- Being an exciting place that makes our children want to come back and bring their friends along.
Our Leaders
Crossroads Christian Church has the privilege of drawing from its different congregations to create a dynamic and committed team of Children and Youth Ministry leaders who run the lessons through school term. Please review our
Child Protection Policy. During school holidays a down-sized programme is run, usually with the aid of parent volunteers.
If you have any questions about the program please contact
Steve Prior (North) and
Lexi Spies (South).
Our Program
Class time is spent looking at the bible, praying, talking about what we are learning and doing activities (eg. drawing, crafts, cooking, music) that reinforces this learning. This year we are using GodSpace material by Burst Christian Resources.
Our Sponsor Child - Dusie
At Kingdom Kids we sponsor a child through
Compassion Australia. Her name is Dusabamahoro Pelagia, but we call her "Dusie". She lives in Rwanda.
Children are invited weekly to contribute money towards her care and Christian teaching. We also pray for her regularly.
Mid Week Activities
Other activities for pre-school aged children include Junior Jivers, which is a fun, low-key, 30 minute music programme followed by coffee and chat for the adults and play time for the kids. For more information on when and where this is being run contact Tarin Foster.
There are also crèche programs connected with the mid-week Women’s Bible Studies held at both north and south locations. For more information on these contact
Margaret McCreath (North) and Kylie Kerr (South).
